Mohawk College has been providing a quality, higher education experience to students in Hamilton, Ontario and the surrounding area since 1967. The college educates and serves more than 31,700 full-time, part-time, continuing education, apprenticeship and international students at three main campuses in Hamilton.

With over 1,000 programs, courses and workshops, Mohawk College Continuing Education offers something for everyone. Whether the choice is professional, practical or personal, there are flexible study options to help meet the needs of busy individuals.

Mohawk students must first get approval from their program or service area coordinator before taking a course for credit at another institution. Once the course has been successfully completed with a grade of at least 60 (per Credit Transfer policy), the student must then submit an exemption request which will be granted if pre-approval from the coordinator was received.

The primary source of information for credit transfer is the Pathways web site:

There is a “Transfer To Mohawk” section that provides information on exemptions, Mohawk’s credit transfer policy, PLAR, etc. Under useful links, you will see, “Initiate your exemption request” This redirects users to the Course Exemptions page with the instructions for applying and FAQs.
